I am truly grateful for the great things that are at my fingertips. Today it was the Gallatin River.

Had to run an errand in Bozeman today. Full disclosure. Errand means picking up another pair of skis. It's like guns, trust me. I guess I need to do another post on the skiing thread to explain my actions.
Anyway...

I threw the waders and flyrod into the truck. Got the skis and kept driving to Big Sky. I know I know, you guys ski are like what, you go to Big Sky to fish? Wtf? Meh. I can ski there whenever I am willing to part with a couple hundred bucks, which is not often.

The river was spectacular. Spent a couple hours there and managed a half dozen lively rainbows. Not bad for a 28 degree day! Winters on the Gallatin are just special. No crowds and plenty of fish once you figure out what to do.
