I was wondering why there was no official response from them, since the NRA is being widely accused of enabling baby killers.

Perhaps they're doing the classy thing, and letting the bodies cool, and supporting the families and Newtown community, before using this atrocity for political reasons (a la .gov).

They're doing the only thing they can do... STFU. They're about to come under fire in a big way and they know it - and they also know there's nothing they can say that will help their cause at this point.

The words "classy" and "NRA" don't ever belong in the same sentence.
