As requested here, pics of the Ruger SR9c, LCP and the new LC9 which should be on the Mass approved list later this year.

There are actually two LC9's in these photos - we were playing with one with a regular mag and one with a finger extension depending on what the people around us were trying to look at.

The LCP in Adam's hands (picture a 6'4" Viking sans the horned helmet and you've got the right size standard)

The LCP in my hands (5'4", I can handle a double-stack 9 or .45 but MUCH prefer the feel of a single stack)

The LC9 is kind of PPSish in size.

I hate that they had to ruin it with the lame-o loaded chamber indicator in the top... that is going to be ugly as sin with a round in the pipe.

LC9 looks like a contender. why the eF did they put a safety on it! [angry2] especially with such a small selector switch!

I will be getting the LC9 so long as I get get one without the 50 lb mass trigger. Love my LCP, so the 9 should be a winner also!

I won't because it has the "SS fruity mc gay gay" sail on top of it which deploys when you chamber a round.

I almost want to send the designer at ruger an email with this attached to it:

Nicole, what do you think of the trigger on the stock SR9c? I'm considering one...

I almost want to send the [STRIKE]designer[/STRIKE] lawyer at ruger an email with this attached to it:

Fixed that for you.

(Sorry, StrangeNH... but you KNOW it had to be a product liability lawyer who insisted on that thing!)

My initial observation is that the SR9C is significantly bigger than the LC9, which is significantly bigger than the LCR. I guess this means that they do not step on each other's toes in their category. Now, many have said the SR9C is compact enough and comparable to the M&P 9c, and I guess plenty of people carry that. That means the LC9 will be even MORE "carry-able". I do wonder if the LC9 will hurt the sales of the SR9C, though.

Now for your next trick, can you get a PF-9, P3AT, and MK9 next to these?

Really though, thanks for the pictures, Nicole!

We've had a few in the shop and Adam and I agree that the one's we've seen are run of the mill. Pretty much what you'd expect from a carry gun trigger - nothing to get excited over but not horrific either.

Agreed. Although the LC9 looks a little more ergonomic than the PPS. I had the PPS for a while and it was a nice shooter but I just never got used to the feel of it, let alone the mag release on the trigger guard. [puke]

This. The LC9 felt very nice and comfortable in my hand - definitely on the small side, but that is the whole point of it. The PPS feels extremely narrow and the edges of the grip are very "squared off" in my hand. The LC9 would be much easier to establish a solid, consistent grip on than the PPS for me.

Gosh, I really want to check out the LC9, PM9, LCP, P3AT, PF-9, MK9, and a few others all side by side. Anyone want to arrange a range day for compact carry guns? (-:
