I've been away from the club since 2003 after 12 years of membership. I have a card showing I left in good standing and thinking that should help. Now, since my kids have grown to the age where I can get them shooting, it is time to go back to shooting.

Unfortunately, I never got as involved with Reading club events as I did with my previous club (Ames Rifle & Pistol). While at Ames, I learned to competitively shoot small bore rifle and made quite a few friends. Went to Camp Perry with a few. During that time, late 80's, I shot high power at Reading during their Eastern MA league Sunday shoot. Really fun days.

So now after so many years away from the sport, I am thinking of re-joining with hopes I will meet at least one familiar face. And I hope the club still has a strong junior program, since I have two that are ready.

Any of you members of Reading want to chime in and give me a few tips? Let me know how the club is today? Any small bore rifle activity? Sunday HP matches still happening? Lastly, is there a monthly meeting that I can show up and rejoin or someone I can contact?

Thanks

Very strong Jr programs, both small bore and highpower. I'm not into small bore myself, but I know a bunch of guys are. We still do the Sunday indoor/outdoor matches, feel free to swing by and re-introduce yourself.

Jr smallbore on Monday nights.
Smallbore league Friday nights (Reading, Woburn and Mass Rifle)
Sunday morning-Casual HP Offhand league

They have a very strong Jr program, by the looks of it. I'm told there is a wait list to get in on the Jr program. They also appear to be closed to new members(wait list, maybe?), but if you were a previous member that left on good standing, that should be an exception to that rule.
