2 and 5, I agree with for the most part. I don't like the whole 'injustices' thing. Those 'injustices' were spawned back in the 50's and 60's when the same government he wants to shift so much power to did evil things to citizens based on color. The rest is overreach of authority into the lives of people who haven't done anything wrong.

OK.......... my addition would be to number 6, mandatory military service. If you want to vote than be prepared to protect the nation that gives you the right to vote.
 
If #1 leads to #2 that quickly (i.e. no other intervening steps), then do we need #s 3-6?

No. That was never intended. It would create two tiered citizenship, which was never intended. It would, in my opinion, be detrimental to the military. The military has enough "I just joined for the GI BIll" types running around. I was never in the military, but I have been in some very serious situations. Thankfully, I had solid backup during those times. I'd rather have 2-3 solid dudes/duddettes than 10 slugs any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I get the point though, to a certain extent, I agree with it, but it doesn't make it right.
 
I love how the commie libs always just come out with all these outlandish demands that have zero basis in reality like they really care. Number 5 is a real peach of community investment and treatment of the injustices that cause gun violence. IE blame us for the violence of gang bangers and give them our money. And none of this crap is targeted towards the real problems of criminals or gangs just law abiding citizens. Never mind they they are quick to forget our constitution. Alas but then this is really about disarming America and installing a new world order.

I was trying to make a point. If you want to make the right to vote simply because your age 18 opens the door for ANYONE 18 years old to vote. No other requirement .....that's scary.
As to mandatory military service I think Israel is doing just fine with it. However I do get your point that people will sign up just to get the benefits, but I would bet most of those would wash out of boot camp.........well maybe not but I hope you understand what I was attempting to say.
 
Talk about leftist gibberish with no real facts or concrete proposals. Did anyone ask the two poster boys for the Brady Bunch how they plan to accomplish their anti-gun wish list? meanwhile their Dem hero's have doubled down on impeachment instead of working with the GOP/President on more of their cherished "gun control" proposals.

Modern Israel was born into a war zone and continues to this day. It is populated with people with a common heritage. It is vastly different than the US. Just like we can't have Swedish socialism, Israeli democracy won't work here either.

For over 200 years we've been OK with people over the age of 18 voting. Once you start down the path of "those people" shouldn't vote, you've given up the freedoms we've worked so hard to maintain and expand in teh last 200 years.

And yes, letting everyone vote WILL destroy the Republic eventually. The alternative is destroying it via a fascist dictator. I'd rather go down swinging on the side of right.

It's amazing to me how many "educated" people I know can't even bother to vote. All the Legal immigrants I work with(they are citizens) don't vote and have never voted. Much of the youth, except for SJW types, don't vote and don't care.
 
I know a whole family that won't vote. Of course, back in 2008, the eldest son (my old college room mate) called me to ask how to become a NZ citizen - to save on taxes. "Well, step one is to move to NZ." "No. I just wanna be a Kiwi so I don't pay taxes in the US anymore."

After I picked myself up off the floor from laughter I explained how income taxes worked. He was shocked that people pay taxes. . . . in teh country they work. (He's a RI resident working in MA. Think about that!)
