Thunk lip antenna mounts

I have been looking at trunk lip mounts for my new car. My question is are the really expensive mounts like Diamond worth the extra money? I don't need mine to do all sorts of contortions to be placed somewhere odd on my car. It's going to be mounted center trunk. Are the more expensive ones better at protecting the cars finish? Thanks in advance for your input.

I think you'll find what you get for the extra $ is better materials that hold up in the weather better. I put a Diamond K400-3/8C on my car over a year ago and it still looks new.
