Traded $40 and ammo for a rusty Norinco ML because I wanted a project gun. Friends helped me get the rust out of the bore, and refinish the barrell. I stripped the stock, tiger striped it with a torch, then polyurthaned and waxed it.

I like it! Recommend going easy on the torch, as you can always go more, but can't go back. I rushed it a bit, probably could have practiced on some pine. I regret I didn't tie in the sides more underneath.

Thanks, I'm happy with it. The wax finish feels gummy. I maybe from the cold, or I need to buff it some more.

No, it never occured to me, but I can see how that could be a method of taking it slower with the design, or feathering the edges. Good tip.

Still happy with it!
