Townsend Rod and Gun Club?

Anyone a member there? I tried searching, but could not find any definitive reviews from members. Sorry if I missed it.

I live very close to it and was thinking of joining, but I have some questions about the facilities there as well as the members. I know its $100 a year, but nobody ever answers the phone there when I call to ask about what they have for ranges.

I'm also curious if they have a bunch of those @holes that act like they own the place?

Ive lived in ashby townsend and groton and shot there many of times. Every time I have gone people are friendly, and they do have an indoor range as well as outdoor and 100yd rifle range (dont quote me on the distance). The club also has fishing and frequently club cookouts i plan on joining this coming monday the 7th.

Thanks for the intel, Nate. I lost track of this thread and just saw your reply now. I will probably wait until spring and check it out. I live literally a stone's throw away and hear them blasting most weekends.

townsend rod and Gun

Hello,
I live near townsend as well. I went and checked out the club two Sundays ago. they will let the public in on Sunday mornings till noon.
The people who showed me around were very nice. they have an outdoor 100yd rifle range. and outdoor pistol range, as well as a trap range.
They have an indoor archery range however there is no indoor pistol range and no archery course. they have an outdoor archery practice butt.
Also a small pond. They allow members to hunt on their property
