How would you transfer firearms into a gun trust that you formed. Are you limited to 4 transfers into the trust per year? if you use an FFL do the MA restrictions reapply to guns you all ready own? Are FA-10 forms needed and can a trust be listed on an FA-10?
thanks for the help
Bill

Hi Bill. I realize this is an old post, but in case you (or others) are still wondering, in order to assign your interest in firearms you own personally to your gun trust, you'll want to use either an assignment page or update your schedule of assets for the trust, depending on what approach your NFA trust uses (my gun trusts use assignment pages). Assigning your interests in a firearm to an NFA trust that you own personally isn't a "transfer" under Massachusetts or federal law, so long as you are the primary trustee of your trust. As a result, neither the Form FA-10 reporting requirement nor the 4-transfers per year restriction are triggered. Feel free to PM me with any additional questions.
