Very science fiction looking. Not really my thing but supposedly they are solid guns

I have one and its a very solid gun. Once I got it switched over for left handed use. Prior to switching it, about 1 in every 5 rounds bounced off my chin and back into the ejection port, jamming the gun.

All the stuff they say about it being ambidextrous is crap. Its reversible, not ambidextrous. You can't switch it from one shoulder to the other and have it work well. Its actually less ambi than a mill spec AR.

If you want ambidextrous, get a SCAR. Why am I ranting about this? Because its really bothered me that all the gun rags have gone on and on about the Tavor being ambi and none of them obviously ever tried to use it left handed.

That really looks like a mockup to me.

Also, the cheek weld seems to be too high.

As a lefty that's good to know. I did everything I could (other than left ejecting upper) for my ar build. I'm not really interested in the tavor but I HAVE heard its completely ambi.

LIES!!!!!!!!!!!

Its the least ambidextrous gun I've ever shot. You can't even use it casually until you switch it over. I've never experienced that before.

And the change over is not trivial. You need to send the gun back to IWI to get a LH bolt fitted. Once you have both bolts, the switch takes about 15 minutes.

IWI used to just sell you a bolt for $110. But they realized the liability if the headspace was not right and decided that they would only ship to an IWI certified armorer. Or they'd do it for free at their place. But you are still on the hook for insured shipping, which is not cheap for a $2000 rifle.
