I have an AK pistol that I am submitting a Form 1 for, to make into an SBR. I really like the looks of the triangular side folders but my main concern is being able to fire it comfortably with the stock folded if I choose.

Im left handed. On some models I've seen that fold to the left, it looks like it would impede my fire control hand (left), the ones that fold to the right look to be alright. Also, is there a specific company, manufacturer, or style that dictates which way it folds?

Not or interested in any of the tapco ambidextrous stuff, I just want an old school metal triangle folding stock, almost like what's on the galil.

When you say triangle stock most people think of the aks-74u "krink" style .

If you going after maket a lot fold to the right to clear the scope rail etc.

Ace stocks hinge you can set any way you want .

So does the ace stock have some kind of ambedextrous rear trunion?

You can buy a trunion from ak buikd that uses there bolt patten . You will need to swap it out of your gun. The rivets won't probably line up tho. So you fill them or don't care .

Or you buy a ace adapter that works with your trunnion . Then buy there folding mec.
You flip it to reverse which direction you want to fold . Two screws .

What ak pistol you have ? Knowing that I can explain your options better.
