Unbranded AR

Was thinking about buying a forged steel AR from Unbranded.
Anyone have any experience with their guns?!

Just trying to get my.foot in the door with a good rifle at a decent enough price point..
So far from holding one in person and Watching their reviews I'm pretty much sold.
Figured I'd ask around.

Well I guess I was assuming by "forged" they meant forged steel.
But I obviously could be very, very wrong.

we forge most metals.

AR receivers are (usually) forged aluminum. Looking at the Unbranded site, theirs are forged Al (except the CF one).

AR15s use either cast, billet, or forged lowers all of which use different aluminum compositions. Some are also made from carbon fiber.

AR lowers are typically either "forged", "billet" or "cast", either way they're aluminum.

Edit - unless they're poly.

As mentioned, those are forged aluminum receivers.

However, there were some early steel AR receivers back before the federal AWB. Heavy buggers. I think DPMS made some.
