Uvalde shooting triggers closer look at gun laws; Massachusetts lawmakers ‘extremely proud’ but say they will review additional reforms

and the question is - as unpleasant as it sounds, what other ways are there for that issue? to do nothing and send them back or 'let them live' in the society we have now.
Sorry, what I mean is they will classify anyone who disagrees with them as having “mental illness” and send them to a reeducation (concentration) camp

they probably will, for some, sure. to do it for most - it would need a different capacity, not compatible with mental care, as i do not think it will be 'camps'. more still, like, clinics.

but it was surely done before in previous years for an unfortunate some who were committed to nuthouses against their will by loving relatives and bribed doctors. a lot of it was done in soviets also against dissidents, journalists and gays also - as only the mad one would not love the beautiful motherland and her regime.
what the question still is - what is the alternative, and what to do with schizoids... as no one will be euthanizing them outright, obviously.

No one can answer the question of how me giving up something I responsibly own will effect what someone else does. They occasionally try - ‘but there won’t be available’ but that gets knocked down quickly with - ‘we should try banning drugs then’

The grandfathering thing doesn’t fly with me either as how does anyone get approval from those not yet born to take their rights.

Answer is - it is not about what is good for you, it is about what is good for a society.

And typically it presumes that a tyrannical enforcement of restrictions upon a person is the only thing that is ‘good’. Guns is just a beginning.

No socialist ever accepts a fact that if something is good for an individual- it has to be good for a society as well. They think only about masses and how to control them.
It is a polarizing rubicon that cannot be logically argued.

Ironically I’m expecting for it to get worse here if SCOTUS rules that “may issue” licenses are unconstitutional as currently done. Faced with a court-required shall-issue regime or with a requirement that may-issue has to meet actual equal protection standards I imagine MA will force something like Boston’s strictness on all 351 municipalities. (“you’ll all be equal by having to jump through 73 hoops first”).

Yeah, but at least schools around here lock the f***ing doors.....
You know how schools have fire drills
(not uncommonly observed by someone from the Fire Department)?

I want to hear about One Frigging Police Department that starts regular probes
of school security by rolling up unannounced and tugging on all of the
supposedly-locked unguarded fire door handles, and then reports on the findings
to the school board during a regular public meeting.

Officer Joe walking a night shift beat downtown would rattle doorknobs.
Does this happen today for the public schools?

FBI believes that the Tsarniev brothers didn't make their own bombs, the actual maker may still be out there.
"The FBI believes".
Puh-leeze.
This from the promulgators of "micro-marks".

The U.S. Post Office requires all mailpieces weighing more than 13 ounces bearing only postage stamps be presented to a Postal Service employee at a retail service counter in a Post Office™ facility because Boeing 747 center wing fuel tank fuel quantity indication system wiring harnesses can sometimes be exposed to high voltage.

It may be false, or it may be true,
but what the FBI "thinks" is worthless.

Prepare for Double Secret Probation.

Any legislative body that continues receive RECORD inflows of cash and does not

A) send it back to the taxpayers
or
B)put it in the rainy day fund

clearly are not going to act sensibly on any sort of freedom issue. This is why USSC decisions now are SO vitally important. Hammer out what is Constitutionally legal and cannot be superseded by the states and be done with it. They can go hand-wring over ninja stars instead.
Honestly... I'm OK making guns a states right... maybe everyone would f*** off at that point.

Want to live in a nanny state enjoy

It cannot be a states right as it is explicitly in the US constitution and extends to the states via 14A.
I understand...but I'm also okay with decentralizing this stuff. Seriously if people want to live in a gun free socialist society go for it just f*** off and stay there

Well, despite the plain meaning of the US constitution, your view essentially exists today given the lack of enforcement by SCOTUS and various states. And I suspect it will stay this way because SCOTUS never draws a line in the sand with its opinions even when they try to favor 2A. So I think for the foreseeable future 2A will in essence be left to the states. This is why I laugh at the abortion debate -- I say welcome to the club. If 2A -- which is literally in the constitution -- is ignored, why should anything else be treated differently.

You seriously underestimate the communists if you think that they would ever be content with just that. This isn't about where they live, they want to ban guns and implement socialism where you live. They want you to pay for all their stupid shit. The idea of a free people living without intense government taxation and control is anathema to them.

Bet the "actual maker" works for the FBI
If so, either The Joker hasn't figured that out,
or he's keeping his powder dry until
he exhausts all of his death penalty appeals.

Diming out the FBI would be the final defense ploy.

Compare the RKBA guaranteed in the Mass state constitution
with how it's actually interpreted by state courts.

The commie leaders don't want to sit atop an eternal wealth redistribution engine.
That's just what they want the foot soldiers to think.

Once they gain control,
the teat is turned off and the true believers are the first up against the wall -
they're not a feature - they're an impediment to control.

The end state is everybody's work goes into the Ruling Class's pockets.

I know lol but i can dream

Anyone see the article this morning in the Herald, with the dick head of Mass Police Chiefs Assoc. vomiting how great that state's gun laws are?
