My old man can no longer get his LTC because of a possession charge from 1970. now he is stuck with a FID and I'm stuck with his handgun until he gets everything figured out with his lawyer....

SAF and Alan Gura will take this to SCOTUS and they'll win......again. Assuming, that is, that there isn't any movement on the right side of the court before the case makes it there. One can only hope. The misdemeanor clause in GCA 68 is one of the most egregious gun laws on the books.
