After the Florida shooting (the one where bicycle boi rode to school to save his classmates AFTER the shooting was safely over - Hogg or something), that school also implemented a policy such as this:

The superintendent also said he was considering requiring clear plastic backpacks for students.

Which resulted in this reaction from a student (second to last line in my sig)

Why are you punishing me for one person's actions? -tyra hemens

Young Tyra very properly questions the sanity or effectiveness of punishing all for the sins of the few.
