I've been looking at the above cited gun but I can't see from looking at it or from what I'm finding that shows what the difference is between the two. Can anyone shed some light on this?

QA is similar to a Glock type action. Same pull every time. Heavier and longer than AS single action.

AS is a SA/DA gun with a decocker. The "AS" mode is default when the gun is cocked due to the design - long trigger pull but SA weight. You can then decock to DA or break safety rules and stage trigger to SA position where it will remain.

AS is the way to go. Period. The SA action is without par in the striker world.

Most prefer the AS. I'm one who much prefers the QA. My EDC is a P99c QA with Talon grips and Trijicons. Love it. I prefer a consistent trigger pull for every shot. Nice clean crisp break on my QA. I like that it doesn't have the Glock style trigger dingus. The QA was discontinued due to the popularity of the AS but can be found used.

I sold my P99C QA not that long ago and regret it. I liked the consistent trigger and it was just heavy enough to feel "safe". I'm a big fan of simple guns for carry and the multiple modes of the AS anti-stress trigger stress me out. I'd go QA if you find one.

^this, exactly

i had the P99 AS and very much liked that setup, but then again I like DA/SA pistols.

Your going to find that guys who like DA/SA vote for the AS. Guys who like a consistent trigger like the QA. Only you can decide based on your preference. I will say either way you go your getting a fantastic carry gun. 100% reliable, world class ergonomics and sexy looking too. You can get flush or pinky rest mags. And even full size 15rd or 16rd (pre ban) mags and a grip adaptor like the one pictured in my first post. Makes it a very versatile weapon.

Don't buy it until you try it. Everyone has given you solid advice. They are both solid choices for the money. Your the one married to it no pun intended.
