Well, I'm thinking of taking advantage of the current Walther / S&W promotion for $50 rebate when you buy a PPK/S.

I know the PPK/S is slightly larger and carries 1 additional round. Any big advantages or disadvantages to the slightly smaller PPK?

I plan on using it as a ccw. Any thought from people who may have owned one of both on which one they preferred and why?

Yes, yes...I know...the .380 is a 9mm on stun. Someone out there is probably using .380 ammo in their hilti to put up siding in their basement.

I owned a Walther/interarms PPK. It shot very well, and was easily carried, ankle IWB and briefcase. You said it, for the price you can get a 9mm. Right now smith is flooding the market with the guns and they are REALLY hard to sell for even half price used in case you do not like the gun. I would advise, if you must have one, buy one USED. Get an interarms if you can. And the Blue ones seem to hold their value more than stainless.

I have a nice, older German import. It's a blued PPK\S with some minor holster wear. It was a cop's back-up piece that he carried for around twenty years or so. If you're interested drop me a line at davejss@yahoo.com. I'd let it go for $375 and I'll throw in a couple of holsters and a couple of boxes of ammo.
