wanna be private army in georgia ???

Not every piece of tac gear comes in black (not racist)...the most important thing seems to be color coordination here.

Personally, I’d like to see more of this from everybody. That looks like a peaceful assembly to me. At least they’re organized enough all show up at the same time and nobody wore a hot pink leotard.

They do need to practice some dispersion though. A couple strategically placed grenades and they’ll be out of commission.

I gotta say, they look pretty damn regulated to me.

Peacefully Assembling, check.
Exercising Their 2nd Amend. Right, check
Media will call them hero's, check.

Till they break any laws then I will worry about them marching and displaying their hardware. Same for a bunch of Klansman, or the Nazi's. As long as they are peaceful they have a right to assemble.

I'd like to think, regardless of politics, MOST folks that are carrying guns understand the greater responsibility and liability and this helps DE-escalate conflict.

I don't think these guys want to de-escalate anything.

Almost no plate carriers, commo gear, helmets, spare mags, FA kits.
Agreed. But A) that stuff ain't cheap. As much as I'd like to have it all if SHTF it's just not in the budget. Neither is NV gear. And B) Most (just a WAG on my part) revolutionary groups/armies/whatevers are generally both less well-armed and more highly motivated than those they're in conflict with.

So no idea who or what they're posturing for or against, but props for getting off the couch or out of the basement.

That's because they are funded by the same nitwits as Mom's Demand Action!

is there more info on this angle? That's more interesting and newsworthy.

As to general show of force, it's as impressive as any volunteers in any wars, grab what you got. Shit, a lot of Soviet volunteers during WWII didn't even had an airsoft, just a stick to tie bayonet to if you were lucky. Good for them to be able to manage to assemble peacefully and armed. I'd love to see more of that.

Too bad that time of cheap Mosins is over, it would be hilarious to see all of them outfitted with Mosins, red banners and all. I'm ROFL just thinking about it. Clown world.

Stone Mountain is a massive Confederate war memorial site that's been politically divisive since its creation, attracting Klan rallies and anti-racialist protests. MLK referenced the memorial in a famous speech.

This.

A committed guerrilla is going to be a formidable enemy even without 70lbs of useless and expensive crap dangling off his rifle. Because he knows he can't depend on plate carriers, commo gear, helmets, spare mags, and FA kits, nor the logistical chain implied by all that, he knows he has to be a more lethal marksman, a quicker and more silent mover, and a colder killer.

Not saying this particular group is all that committed; I don't know. But underestimating the enemy is always a bad plan. The British had a lot more gear than the colonial rebels did at Concord, and the French and US had a lot more gear than the Vietnamese commies. Didn't help them much.
