A suspect brandishing a large knife was shot and wounded by police in France this week, according to reports.

The harrowing incident unfolded at around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, a commune in the suburbs of Paris.

Authorities were alerted about a man suffering a "nervous crisis" who was planning to attack innocent victims, a source told local media.

awesome, so, UK is leading the humanity toward total happiness, already. great. no matter how stupid the idea sounds - some oppressing regime is already doing it, somewhere...
eventually it will come to the logical conclusion - like all penitentiaries already figured it out how to keep people safe.

so it will be just a bit of time to wait, for your local police to be busting doors of your house at 2am strip searching everybody including cavity search on your wife and kids, all in the name of global safety and world peace.

in old soviet union at least most of those laws were compensated by a complete lack of enforcement and corruption, so you could have pretty much anything as long as you paid up to whom it should have been paid. here it is just a clearest masochism that people keep invoking upon themselves.

as the public safety has been accomplished. now it is time for the next act of the same divine comedy.

Wow, I didn't notice it was off safe in the pic! Probably, but I didn't get close enough to check. They were walking around the airport like that, ready to Quigley a whole line of tourists with one ND. IIRC the actual army actually was better, they had FAMASs with EOTECHs on them. They were guarding the French army museum, which (all surrender jokes aside) was pretty cool.
