(I read through this before posting and yes, it's a total Flex on the Poors! Though I'll be dead soon so i guess it doesn't matter. Hope to see you all at my funeral! I'll be the guy in the closed coffin as I'm not sure if fire, acid or drowning will be on the menu) [laugh]

You know, I've come to realize that I have a problem with vintage firearms and as such I have absolutely no business joining online auctions. Unfortunately though I didn't listen to my own advice and was glued to the computer this weekend watching the Rock Island Armory auction. They were auctioning off over 4000 firearms from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Old West, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam as well as some modern firearms and sprinkled in around 40 NFA items. It was gun Nirvana. I told myself I was going to go for one thing and get it. Before I knew it it was two things and then three. I did all I could and finally stopped myself from getting a fourth.

In the end this is what I won.

Once received, post pics with your eggs and Grey Poupon.

-or-

Folks, I think we found another Reptile alt and he just sold a bunch of Gucci lowers and is rolling in cash.

Are you trying that living on credit thing until you can't scenario like your friends do?

People are idiots nowadays with the current interest rates what they are, and they wonder why they will never retire. We paid off our mortgage a few years ago and it was the most freeing thing I/we have ever done. Yeah, still got property taxes but not having a mortgage is heaven. Saw a news article the other day and the number of people carrying huge credit card balances at 20-28% is utterly mind boggling, they are literally throwing money away and will never get caught up.

Well last I checked I wasn’t an idiot. My mom had me testing.

Damn, I guess I am a day late. After all those purchases, you probably won’t be interested in a Dan Wesson pistol pack !

Nice pick ups.

I had 3 items on my watch list. Thought I might be enticed by a bargain price. Boy was I wrong, the bids ran up so high so fast I absolutely couldn’t believe it.

You're not kidding. I watched one auction that was for a WWII Mauser Broom Handle with a very rare 20rd internal magazine. The bidding got so hot for that one I couldn't keep up with it. Before I knew it the bid was over $50K. Holy crap!

Oh and for anyone interested, Accurate Auctions, Morphy and Vogt are all having firearm auctions this weekend. I'll be sitting those out even though I may or may not have some items on the wishlists. o_O

With an internal mag this was rather a very early specimen than a WWII which had 10 and 20 rd stick mags.

You buy all sorts of mismatched old guns.

I’d can’t imagine how you could be happy with any of it.

They seem like impulse buys that you’ll regret the next day.

I’m sorry.

Buy a pre ban AR lower and build up the ultimate AR. Get more uppers if needed.

Says the man with 20 Fanny packs and 100 holsters. But, I AM happy.

If you think you have a spending problem and want to fix your life - you have to admit you have a problem.

Is there such thing as guns anonymous?

Who knows, you might find some ammosexuals at the meetings.

Definitely impulse buys by someone with a large bank account or a LOT of expendable cash.

Took me like 12 months to plan and buy an SP5 lol

Even my impulse purchases(2024 KTM) are planned out for like 2 months lol
