I'm still not sure what went wrong, but my Glock 34 let me down. It was Stage 2 at the New Bedford USPSA match last Sunday. My first stage of the day and the gun jammed. Not sure if it was a gun or magazine problem but it took a few slide racks and a reload to finally clear before I could continue. This was very depressing as I was trying to go a whole year without cleaning the gun and I was at the 11 month mark when it failed. I don't understand why it malfunctioned, after all, I lubed it back in December!!! Yeah, you heard right, I gave it a good cleaning back in June 2008 and have been shooting about 1000 rounds a month through it since then. Back in December I started to feel sorry for it so I pulled the slide off it and gave it about 4 drops of synthetic motor oil and put it back together. I haven't done anything but shoot it since then. I was going to break down and clean it, but then I decided maybe it was a freak jam and will continue to work fine thru the rest of the month so I can make a whole year. I'll try it out at Wallum Lake this weekend and see what happens. Wish me luck...
