Ok, so the photo's aren't particularly inspiring but then, hey, neither is real porn!
Found this West German Sig P226 in 9mm this weekend for a great price.
This is a 1991 production year, which means it’s got a stamped slide as opposed to the milled steel, which I believe they started doing around 1994.
Like many Sig fans, I just love the feel of the stamped Sigs so much more than the later machined ones because the balance (stamped is lighter) of the stamped slides is just incredible, whereas the machined ones feel a little top heavy to me. That’s not to say I don’t have later model machined Sigs I love, it’s just that I have a warm spot for the older models that comes from just picking it up and feeling how well it sits in my paws.![Smile [smile] [smile]](/xen/styles/default/xenforo/smilies.vb/001.gif)
Thus concludes my first illustrated post.
