It's mainly driven by one women whose husband shot and killed their daughter and shot her and then took his own life. Tragic indeed and I understand her involving herself in these matters but punishing law abiding gun owners with laws that would not have stopped that shooting isn't right. The lady has a few women in town who support her as well as several anti-gun groups who are determined to put these rules/laws in place. This actually started back in 2013 (at least)
