Some interesting calibers there guys and it seems I may have to spring for .38 special and .357 mag.

Andrew, what do you have that uses 7.62x54r and 7.5x55?

Same with you Mbousquet with the 7.62x51?

I have many boxes of everything, from many manufacturers. I tend to seek out Hornady (target, hunting, PD), Federal (target, hunting, PD), and Winchester (range fodder where group size doesn't matter)

Nope.....no 9mm and no 5.56.

Seems the OP listed all the different brands and or shot sizes in his stash. Dude.....I couldn't possibly list all of them in that detail.....my shotgun hunting ammo alone would be 20 different kinds I have a 5 rack shelf just for the shotgun ammo!

The 7.62x51 is for my bolt action savage in .308win. The local gunshop didn't have any non-hunting/non-soft point rounds in 308 so I had to make due with the 7.62x51 from ZQI. Now that's basically gone and I've got a lot of .308win federal premium gold medal match.

Have all the ammo packed into an old Army cabinet/locker thing that was my grandfather's from WWII when he as down in Kentucky training in the tank corp according to my father. I did have to replace some of the shelving inside with new plywood and reinforce some of the feet because the wood was starting to break down because it sat in a basement for probably 70+ years. Still has the original hardware and paint on it though. Has either eight or 10 cubbie holes that are pretty deep and can fit a lot of ammo in them. I can also lock each individual cubbie door with a padlock.

my ammo lineup would be too boring, here's why:

I felt the same way until sometime in early 2015 when I realized my range trips were becoming an exercise in ammo accounting. what was once fun had become tedious. after my miniature nervous breakdown, I got out of every chambering except 22LR, 9mm, 223, 308 and occasional playing with 44 mag, 45-70. i used to blow so much $$ stocking 300 blk, 5.45, 7.62R, 7.62x54, 8mm mauser, .30-06, 10mm, 357sig, 45acp, 380, 17hmr, 357mag, 38 sp, 12g slugs. hell even .40 S&W if the price was good I would buy it, and we all know that .40 S&W has terminal aids. so that should help explain my thinking at the time. nowadays i find my gun hobby less stressful having restricted the # of chamberings I am allowed to enjoy.

also one day I shot an entire mag of 9mm through a glock 32 (357 sig) and wondered why that 357sig ammo felt so weak. it was an eye opener that i might be taking too many different ammo's to the range!

I'd get a 6.5 CM but I have a 270 already. Plus I'd have to grow a beard, buy skinny jeans and start drinking lattes.

This!
