I've been searching in regards to what is the legal blade length limit for a folding knife in MA for EDC. All I've found is that knives carried in Boston must be under 2.5 inches... assuming that is still the case. What about the rest of the state? Does it vary by town? Any help appreciated, thanks!

easier carrying a gun

Wasn’t there some nonsense that if you have your LTC-A you can carry a lager folder or fix blade or something???

I could have sworn I read that in a thread someplace…

Edit: maybe this is what I was thinking of…

This is why a zoobow is such a better weapon than a knife ever would be. And you KNOW that you're breaking the law, so you know you've got to dump it if you're ever stopped by the police.

Unless A City has a specific ordinance, you could walk the streets with dual Samurai swords strapped on your back, and flares pistols tucked into the front of your pants. Would be possible to catch a charge of disturbing the peace....

This guy knows what you're talking about. Seen outside of Andrew Sq T station, Southie. Low-ready with that cane. Note the ankle.

So if you are limited by blade length for a folding knife, would you be better off with a fixed blade on your hip, say a machete? Man, what an f'd up State.

I honestly never cared what the rules were about folding knives when I lived there. Who cares. Only time it will be an issue is if you shiv someone. And if that happens, well you have bigger problems than the length of your blade. Oh..... and that's what she said
