I use a home made alcohol / lanolin mix. It doesn't really need to be cleaned off, but some of the loaded rounds will feel greasy and it only takes 15 minutes in the tumbler to get them clean and looking good. Somebody will say you don't even need to lube pistol brass when using carbide dies.... I say try it. On a progressive press the lube makes the sizing so much smoother, and I have a better feel for what is happening like successful decapping, or immediately feeling one of those stepped cases . Its one part of the system that makes banging out a quick thousand rounds seem easy.
