All of those are legal to buy and own. It is illegal for a dealer to sell them to a private citizen (because they're all low quality and unsafe).

In other words, if you find one for sale somewhere in the state (most likely a private sale), buy it.

Lots of revolvers, check out Ruger or S&W.

Ok. Wait a sec. You are saying they are unsafe? How so?

It was sarcasm. The AG says that only high quality handguns should be available for sale within the commiewealth and this excludes guns like most HKs, most SIGs, Glocks, Colts, Springfield XDs and similar junk.

What Paul said.... I'll even give you a link to it...

http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/threads/37553-MA-Handgun-Compliance-Q-A-Thread-(new)

Read it 5 or 6 times, and if you still don't get it, read it again and the posts in the follow-on discussion in that thread.

The reality is most handguns are legal in MA, unless it's a gun that violates the AWB, but that's a whole other ballgame. What is legal and what a dealer can sell you without getting in trouble, are two different things. Worse yet, not every dealer has the same deifnition of what they think they can sell you. There is no magic list, or magic lamp you can rub that is going to tell you what you can easily buy new (or for that matter, used) in this state. Start doing some legwork and you'll find out on your own soon enough what is "obtainable" and what isn't.
