What is your favorite milsurp to shoot?

For some reason, I assumed this thread was about rifles. Due to my limitations, I have much more fun shooting pistols, especially .32...Walther PP/PPk, Mauser HSc/M14, Beretta, Savage, Colt...and my ‘37 Detective .38 Special. Rarely does the bigger stuff come out...Luger, P38, and 1911.

if you count an AK as a "milsurp" i will start there....... since it's not a C and R, I will go Garand,,,,, when the clip flips out and hits the floor...I always smile
I was thinking about this the other day, I virtually never get pings on my M1s since 90%+ of the time I am using SLEDs. And when I don't have a SLED installed, I load two rounds at a time with the twist method on a clip. The last full en bloc I shot might have been 2017/2018 or so, probably my last OCSA match.

Nothing like a garand. Shoulder firing 30 06 and feeling the rifle eat up so much of the power is just something special.

Nice! did you give it a poke with the bayonet?
Haha maybe to make sure it was dead...But in all seriousness I had to remember to put the bayonet out before shooting as that’s how it’s zero’d. When we would get close enough to em and I slap that bayonet out my buddy never wanted to run behind me that coward

my M44 (now sold off) did not shoot much more than a moa off bayo in or out tested from a bench rest.. The 91/30 with the bayonet installed showed a good 5 moa drift high and right.

That's interesting, mine is significantly off when the bayo is closed. Like inches.

I was surprised , this was my last test shooting some bulk 180 gn RNSP at 2350fps . The vertical stringing is all me, winter sun at this range is brutal. About a MOA horizontal shift with my M44. Sold that a few weeks ago
