I have a S&W 1911 which I bought used. The trigger pull is very light, it is a little bit lighter than I would have thought. What is the typical trigger pull weight of these things from the factory?

It is certainly very accurate to shoot, and I may be just more sensitive now that I've been lately also using an M&P which has a significantly higher trigger weight, but it is a little spooky how light it is.

Lugnut's pretty much got the range. I've never measured mine, but it's almost as good as my 3.5# M&P trigger, and it's stock.

From the factory it will be about 7# to 9# off the line. After that they will wear in but most don't wait and get the trigger worked on. I have never seen one under 6# new from the box

I have two S&W with stock triggers the pull at 4.5lbs. I bought them new.

I don't have a trigger pull scale but no way is my S&W 1911 7lbs. I'd say it's about the same as my P229 in SA mode, so that'd put it at 4.5lbs or so.
