What's the value of a late 80's Ruger M77 30-06?

It's my brothers, and it's in ok condition. He wants to sell it to me, but I'm unsure what they're worth and though he's my brother he's cheap and shrewd. It has scratches on the stock from being knocked in his closet over the years. It has some light rusting in the crevices. It has not had a lot of rounds through it, so I'm betting it functions well. He doesn't hunt much.

He wants $350 for it. I think he should give me a discount as I'm his younger brother, but he really wants to make some dough.

What's this thing worth on the used market considering the description I gave above?

The base price given is not bad.

Does it have rings and/or scope?

A MK II same caliber just sold on another forum with rings in good condition for 'only' $385.00 shipped.

There is no real way without seeing it in it's present condition.

Good luck with what I think is a nice rifle being kept in the family.

Blue Book of Gun Values (33rd Edition) says:

$450 in 100%
$395 in 98%
$325 in 95%
$265 in 90%
$245 in 80%
$200 in 70% or less

With a beat up stock and some rust it's probably worth $250 at best. If it has a decent scope on it, maybe more depending on the scope.
