I do love shooting and the traditional look of the ak which is what I have now and won't give that up but it would be fun to own one with the changes I mentioned.

I debated doing it since 556 mags are expensive etc.
I might make a second that's traditional wood and convert mine to ar mags .
I'm not sure how the bolt hold open works tho . Like dose it release when you pull the mag out or is it like a ar15.

The problem for 7.62x39 is mags, you could use the ar 7.62 mags but they have there own problems .
