Which gun shops in MA or maybe even NH have the best parts for AR's???

LPK
stocks
grips
maybe uppers.

Is there 1 store that has it all???

I am looking for a mil-spec CTR stock, buffer tube, etc.

I need a descent LPK

I still need an upper.

Instead of ordering online, I am trying to figure out who has maybe all that stuff somewhat local to me to just buy it all in 1 fell swoop.

First Defense in Uxbridge has a fairly good selection. Expect to pay MSRP or close to it

I got my CTR stock(they have commercial and mil-spec), recoil tube/spring/buffer, and flip up magpul sights there

They also have a few Stag Arms uppers

Ahhh, I never thought of them. For such a small store, sometimes I don't think they will have anything. What was the price of the few things you did buy there if you don't mind me asking?

Do they have LPK's as well?

They definitely should have LPK's probably for like $65-$80 depending on the brand. That could go way up if you bought an upgraded LPK with a nice trigger group. Their website says "DPMS & CMMG Lower Parts Kits in stock On SALE"
Pullman arms (a stones throw from your house) sells Bushmaster LPK's for $69?

The CTR stock was like $45?

The flip up sights (front and rear) came out to a total of around $90-100 if I remember correctly.

They sell the buffer tube/spring/buffer as a combo pack, or you can buy them individually. I forget how much that came out to... maybe $60-$80?

Awesome thanks for that info. Looks like I am going to FD tonight when they open, because the rest of the week there is too much going on. Thanks!

I would like to get my first AR built before the first of the year. I have 4 lowers just sitting in my safe.

You sir, need to get to work! I am the opposite right now... I have 3 uppers for my 1 lower... and I will second FD. I will be hitting them up tonight myself... need a new buffer. AR; its like my legos when I was a kid... I just keep adding and rebuilding, haha.

Hopefully they have descent buffers. I really wanted a Spikes ST-T2 buffer but can't find it anywhere.

I'll be there right when they open

Hopefully they have the Magpul grip I want too.

I am not sold on Spike's buffers, mixed opinions there... I am just looking for an H2/heavy carbine buffer, all classic like; like sticking to DI over piston... [pot]

H2 buffer is fine by me too.

I'm getting excited. I will finally have some parts for my very 1st AR in about 1 hour.

Than I just need parts to put it together. [laugh]

Well I got the CTR stock I wanted, grip, and I got a DPMS LPK. They didn't have anything else. So now I needed to find the stock kit somewhere.

Hopefully the DPMS LPK is OK. I have read mixed reviews about them.

I have everything I need now. I just ordered an ST-T2 buffer from Spikes Tactical. Hopefully it will be in within the next week. Than I can assemble my lower. I even found 3 pre-ban 30 round mags tonight. Bought some new Magpul followers as well. Going to replace the followers and buy some ammo tomorrow and load them up.

How did you make out on you visit to Precision Armament Werks?

I found them at the Holbrook Sportsman Club- Gun show on Saturday and was able to pick up everything I needed to complete my LRB lower from them. I have not seen their shop yet.

Remsport will have everything, and put it on for you to boot. They are not what you might really consider a "shop", though.

Yeah, as far as my lower goes, I have everything now. Now I just need to decide on an upper.

I will try the mags as is for now. The springs seem fine to me, but I will order some down the road and get them in. Unless there is a store locally that some for 30 round mags??

I could've bought a Remsport LPK, which might be a little better than the DPMS one I bought, but Ludlow is no where near where I live. For a $69 LPK, that's a waste of a trip IMO.

PAW has a ton of parts not on display in the shop. I know they had one spikes Carbine buffer as it was at the show. Three kinds of LPKs including CMMG, Bushmaster and one more I don't recall. Buffer tube kits both mil and commercial. Lots of small parts from spikes, LMT etc that aren't on display except at shows.

I called H-S yesterday, and they said they don't carry many AR parts. They suggested some place in Upton or Uxbridge maybe. If I'm going to drive that far, I might as well drive to Ludlow, where I know they will have everything to finish up.

What and/or where is "PAW"?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry, Precision Armament Werks, mentioned above, in Franklin. They also have pretty much every Magpul piece. VLTOR stocks, Troy parts etc. A ton of parts are in boxes out back. The employees know whats out back. It just is hard to display engraved dust covers from Spikes in any way that doesnt take up a ton of room for example. Call and ask if there is something in particular you are looking for.

Thanks. I think Ludlow is closer for me from the Worcester area than Franklin, plus I'm looking for basic parts, not the designer stuff. Sounds like a nice place though.

Happy Thanksgiving.
