I picked up a 10/22 today to start my foray into rifle marksmanship. I've read in a lot of places that Tech Sights are the way to go for replacing the stock sights. They have two models: the TSR100 and TSR200. Pretty similar except the TSR200 allows elevation adjustment of both the front and rear sights while the TSR100 only allows elevation adjustment at the front sight.

I'm planning to use this rifle for Appleseed training. Does the TSR200 really gain me anything over the TSR100? Are there other sights I should consider?

My first build had the TSR200 - my next two will have the 100. No need for the extra expense. You can adjust the elevation with the front sight.

TSR100, hands down. I've got 4 10/22's with them.

Add a DPMS Rapidex knob, and definitely get the AR15 A1 type sight adjusting tool. The knob is optional, the tool you'll wish you bought in the end.

Just be very careful installing the knob. It's easy to lose that tiny pin! [crying] I even had the rifle on a stand and a tray underneath, just in case.

Other than that, it's pretty simple, but you need a tiny punch to get the pin out.

Can you point me to a 'latest and greatest' of your Liberty Trainer Rifle guide? I've done some searching, but it usually leads me to massive threads that are a pain to sift through.
