wHip Em’ Out! Your collection that is.

LOL, it's a great little novelty item, don't usually carry it around. Pocket carry with brass / wood is a good way to keep it polished and shiny but you can't really have much else in that pocket when you do

I have some older ones I keep tucked away. If you notice the Esee Junglas and 6 look wet, they are. To prevent them from rusting when I’m not using them I line the blades with olive oil and it keeps em nice.

794BCDA7-61F3-4CB7-A59F-91D5A5C6F04C.png This thread got me motivated to pull out my old knives that I keep tucked away. Each one tells a story, the top yellow knife my friend gave to me about 35 years ago, the second from the top my Great Grandfather gave me when I was about 7 years old, he told me he found it in the front of our yard, the Case was his as well. The 4th one from the top was my fathers, he bought that around 1958-1960. The LL Bean was a Christmas gift back in 1996, the toothpick still has resin on it from some dude back in ‘97 when I was camping on the Saco river, he asked me to use it to clean out his pot pipe out. The last one I bought when I was 10 from my paperoute money 38 years ago, my grandmother gave me the leather belt clip and I carried that for years as a kid. I still remember when I engraved my initials in it.

^ This. So much this.

There are few things left in this World that a man can hand-down to his son, or a Grand Dad to his Grandson.
A, good well-cared for pocket folding knife is one of them.
I love Case/Buck/Old Timer and other great American Made knives for just this reason.
A man's pocket knife can be counted on, trusted and is always there when he needs it.
He has shed his blood on it, swore at it, opened love letters with it, dug out splinters with it and it has become an extension of who he is.
If you cannot feel that in an old knife, passed down from Generation to Generation I feel sorry for you.
Sorry, because you have no Soul...

Not quite as extensive as most of these posts but here is my collection. I have some work to do to catch up.

my lock backs
nice collection!

is that a buck knight at the bottom? I love those little bucks. had the rosewood knight at one time, got it as a christmas gift years ago and carried it daily for years. it suddenly disappeared a while back, damn. so handy, no?

I carried it for years but lost it, recently I needed a new washing machine, when I moved the washer there was. I'm happy to say it's back in my little pocket now.

It's great when things come back home on their own.

My grandparents had a whale's tooth I remember as a kid. As they got very old, they had day nurses and after they both passed, we moved a lot of stuff during clean out. I never found the whale's tooth. 30 years later and after blaming the nurses for the theft for all that time, on a Mother's day, I was in the attic pawing through some old stuff I had moved years ago and found the whale's tooth. I mumbled an apology to the nurses.

I sense Yankee Blood coursing through your veins!...

Love those ESEE's!

LOL..... 4 lines back to the Mayflower, nobody owns up to screwing an Indian, thus no points of casino ownership. Dammit...

Hey! I just found out that I go back to Rogers on my Mothers side!

6CDF2499-A1B5-42DE-B629-3676FF84D2D6.jpeg I see some NICE collections here... made me want to play! These are 1/3 of my collection, that I had in a storage container in the bedroom (except for the benchmade and the ZT, those are my EDC). I have a few eEsees and some Tops and some Shadowtech that are scattered throughout the house. I tossed in some “bottle opener” knuckles cuz the next guy did. Sorry, I have an addiction to karambits after 3 years of Silat

I am far from a knife collector, I kind of look at them like screw drivers, but I do intend to do more real camping and bushcrafting this year, so I treated myself to an early birthday gift.

ESEE 6 and a SS Mora Garberg.

I will say this thread has me wanting to dig through the house and find all of my old pocket knives. Might be a good weekend project.
