Who's buying a switchblade?

Bought my first Spyderco and it happens to be an auto. It’s a factory second and I cannot see any visual blems. The fire button was gritty AF out of the box, almost sent it back due to this, but just kept fidgeting with it and added a drop of oil here and there and it’s nice and smooth a week later. No more gritty noise or feel and snaps open hard.

These were going for approx $300.00+ and appeared OOS at most places that carried them. I came across a stash of factory seconds for approx $160.00 and dove in, great deal IMO at that price.

I just wanted to report on BladeOps.
I bought an OTF from them awhile ago and after a bit of use one of the screws worked loose.
I contacted BladeOps and they mailed out the screw the same day.
I’m pleasantly surprised,
I’m not used to good customer service now a days.
I’ll buy from them again.

How do you like the size? That had been on my radar for a while...
The handle is kind of big, but you have to expect it with a 4" blade. I feel like it's a acceptable size ,that isn't very noticeable once it's in my pocket. The action is lighter and smoother than my older Ultratech. I'm really impressed with the CT overall, and I got it for a great deal on BF.

Thanks, my man!

1. Layaway was clutch.
2. They called to make sure I knew the terms.
3. Points earned.

Definitely would recommend these guys for anyone else interested.

I completely forgot about my HK/Benchmade Tumult I bought when they first came out around 2010. I carried it at work for a few years until the springs became weak enough to make deployment not reliable at all. I stuck it in a box over a decade ago and just found it again. I recall asking Benchmade about reconditioning it and they said they couldn't ship it back to me as a MA resident so I let it be. Now would be a different story right? Only thing is they're discontinued so who knows if they still stock the springs for it. We'll find out! 53B9CCD0-D183-46F3-B2F4-5415C7E142EC.jpeg
