Looking to rent a cottage in NewEngland for a week this summer. Should be on a pond or lake with good fishing from a canoe or kayak. Pet friendly would be a plus.

After 40+ years we sold the lake house on Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, NH. Hundreds of houses/cottages on a nice lake. I'm guessing that some are open to rental. Call Tom Duffy at Verani realty. Tell him that Jack sent you. Jack.

I would try Craigslist for the states that you are interested in.

The thing I hate about VRBO is they entice you with what looks like a good price, but when you look at all the added booking, service, admin and cleaning fees, it's actually 40-50% more.
