These drums are made of the same plastic as a red 5 gallon plastic gasoline can is.
These are used. I have done a preliminary wash to get the bulk of the residual malt out. Depending on your needs they will need further cleaning.

Was recently asked about using them for storing gas.
I haven't used them for such, but I plan to. They are the same plastic as used in standard gas cans, but should be used with caution as is the case whenever storing gasoline. Not in your house, make sure there are no fumes present, etc., etc.
