Yard sales have been very, very good to me.

Remington Nylon-66 in .22lr, fourteen plus one tube fed magazine, Mohawk Brown, Redfield aperture sight was added. With the DF code and no serial number, it places it in the first year production in September, 1959.

The gun is in 97% finish condition. Dang near new.

That looks just the same as the one my father in law saved his paper money as a boy to buy at the local ACE. You ever want to let that one go, I'll be willing to let it sit by its brother in the safe.
That said, give it a really good cleaning and oiling. Accuracy is pretty good in them old boys.

Yes, these are fun and accurate plinkers. I have another one of later vintage, and it's a true beater. But extremely fun!

Looks like the one l bought last year - fun plinker. What did it set you back?

This one was a fair yard sale price of $200. Most Mohawk brown guns can be bought from $2-400. But knowing that it was a first year, I snatched it up immediately. These guns have almost a cult following, and a pristine early model can fetch upwards of $700 on public auction.

I bought mine in 1972. Still have it.

Great plinker, very accurate and reliable.

The old ads for it show them shooting 100,000 rounds without a failure.
