I saw a bin of 30 rounders for a 10/22 at the local MA fun show.
$14.99 each, marked Pre-Ban Mags, Eagle brand. patent numbers molded in
How can you tell by looking, or can anyone tell by looking if they are MA compliant?

Not sure, but I am not impressed with the 30 rounders. IMO, the Ruger factory 10 rd mags are the best mag available for the 10/22.

Doesn't matter, stay away from the Eagle mags. Last one I saw I believe it was in Shirley, and that thing was wedged so hard in the 10/22 we had to start to disassemble the rifle to get the mag out.

Odd. I have two of the Eagles - one I got a year or two ago, the other one is about 25+ years old. Never had a problem with either.

That's funny Ross...I wonder if they were made by different contractors? I bought a two-pack and they had to be filed down to fit, then ran inconsistently. RamLine used to get a bad rap, but mine ran perfectly. The one mag I miss, is my Mitchell 50rd drum...It was a tear-drop shaped drum mag that ran like a top. Someone lifted it out of my range bag..Hope it broke on them...
