Does anyone know of a shop in Mass/RI that would have the ring seals for an 1100 shotgun? mine is now starting to cycle too slow causing jams and whatnot.
I suspect that the O-rings are nothing special and with the right dimensions, any plumbing supply place can hook you up. [Republic Plumbing on Rte. 1 in Norwood?]
ETA: Big maybe for Lowes or Home Depot. The real hardware store in Downtown Stoughton probably has O-rings as well.
Be very, very careful to note exactly how the rings are on your gun BEFORE you take them off, so you can put the new ones on EXACTLY the same way or else you will wind up with a fully functioning SINGLE-SHOT shotgun.

There's only one o ring in a 1100 and it sits in a indented portion of the feed tube. As long as the o ring isn't inverted (you'll know if it is) there isn't much you can mess up.
Clean the feed tube well and put a light coat of rem oil. Clean out the gas holes in the barrel as well.

The O-rings are special. The material is designed to handle the hot gases that cycle the action.
I was in a pinch and used standard O-rings. They lasted for 5-10 shots before they failed from the heat. (Still, 5 -10 shots was better than single-shot.)
