Finish condition: Bright metal. The wood is solid with nice checkering.
The barrel is stamped Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel as well as made by Savage in Utica NY. It functions as it should with a smooth action and strong ejection, locks up tight and on face with all numbers matching. This was serviced by a Smith 15 years ago who specializes in this brand and has had two shots through it since. It has been stored in a 70° climate controlled safe.
