Reticles are often designed for use with a particular zero…

tldr: if you have a scope with a bullet drop reticle, read the instructions to see what zero it was intended for, then confirm by shooting.

Confirm by going to the range, using the reticle at the various distances and seeing where your shots impact. Do that before any match.
