38 super

are you loading to major power factor? Is this going to be on a comped gun
For USPSA I run a 125gr jhp to about 1370 fps, for a 171 pf. I used 8.6 gr of 4756 under a Zero jhp. I won't run this load unless you are shooting uspsa and have an open gun.

I would look into what weight recoil spring came with your .38 super from Para and keep that in mind when getting loads from people. Definitely look for stuff referred to as "minor". A lot of the minor ammo will call for a lighter spring.

The reloading section in the www.brianenos.com forum will have lots of stuff.

UNIQUE? Can you even see the target after the first magazine?

We can always spot the Unique shooters at our local events.

Smoke is from the lube used on the bullet's [sic], not the powder.

Sorry; I don't buy it - literally OR figuratively. Before I went to poly-coated bullets, I also shot the hard-cast/Crayola crayon-lubed stuff. My Red Dot loads were nowhere near as bad as the obscuration caused by guys shooting Unique.

About the best thing one can say for that propellant is that you have to be REALLY careless to overcharge a case with it.

I like a 147 gr lead bullet with 3.5-4.0 gr of Bullseye behind it..Load it as long as your chamber and mags allow..This is a mild and accurate loading, lots of fun shooting..
