50 BMG Is For Sissies....

I saw one of the Anzio Ironworks rifles at Shot Show out in Vegas... Bad ass. The dude who had it on his table was trying to sell it. Said I could have it for $15K and he would cover the first tax. What a bargain!

If you want something a little bit bigger, a live 90mm gun just came up for sale. [smile]

[shocked] at only $75/round it's a bargain to shoot!

Maybe I'll bring one to an appleseed shoot... think I can make rifleman?

someone call Dillon and see if they make dies for 20mm...

be sure to also ask if they have any 1,600g bullets. Make sure they are boat tails. [smile]

"20MM LIVE TARGET PRACTICE AMMO — $29 ea. "
It's out there, and the 20MM is a few more $k's then a M82A1, it sure is worth it.

Draw back.. HE is going to be a real pain to locate.

Thanks for the link.

By MA law, isn't any fixed ammunition greater than .50 caliber considered a destructive device?

Don't know if MGL covers this at all, but federally the answer is yes... with a few exceptions- the feds exempt gigantic bolt action hunting rifles from being considered DDs; but this seems to be very subjective. EG, things like bolt action .700 nitro express, etc, etc, are exempted. However, if it "doesn't look like a hunting rifle" then BATFE will claim it's a DD. This is the infamous, somewhat abused, "sporting purposes" clause in federal law. Basically if it "looks scary" they declare it a DD... For example, most shotguns also fall under this exemption, except for things like the USAS-12, Stryker, Streetsweeper, etc.

The ruling making the USAS-12 and revolving cylinder shotguns DDs is telling...

The Brady Bunch pushed to have 3 shotguns declared "non-sporting". They where the USAS-12, Streetsweeper and the Mossberg 500 Bullpup. They succeeded on the USAS-12 and Streetsweeper because there is no way to limit the capacity of those shotguns to 3 rounds. They did not get so far with the Mossberg because a normal limiting plug will limit it to 3 rounds. The ruling had nothing to do with looks.
