A reviews section?

I have recently bought some equipment that I would love to share
reviews of with our fellow members, but they would just be lost in
the noise in the Firearms,Equip.,and Ammo or General sections. The
reason local reviews are relevant is that if someone was really curious about
an item (like my new pretty high-dollar electronic muffs), we might be
able to meet up so they could try them out.

I don't think there is really a need for a dedicated forum for reviews. In the past, we have just put the reviews into the appropriate forums, and they can be found very easily using the search function.

Here's one that I did a while ago, and it only took me about 30 seconds to go to the search page and find it.

I've asked for the addition of this forum before. Why not? We have a few forums on the board that receive fairly limited use, certainly a LOT less than a gun review forum would receive.

I think that people (myself included) would be a lot more likely to spend the time and effort to write a comprehensive review if they felt like it would be seen more readily. It could hardly hurt to have a seperate forum for this, and you know that most folks do not use the search feature that often (nor is it the most user friendly thing to use).

Why not try it? I'd be happy to kick off the forum with a review or two.

We are in the process of upgrading the Firearms, equipment, and ammo section of the forum. This change will make it easier to put topics related forums, so they will not get lost in the shuffle, and will be in a sub category where they are relevant.
