We won a cherity auction for a night in the keeper's quarters of the Little River Lighthouse on Little River Island off the shore of Cutler,ME. It is the U.S.A.'s most north-east island lighthouse. Since that weekend is also the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend I decided my son and I would bring the FT-857 and wire antenna. We should start operating Saturday around 4:00pm local (+/-2 hours) and go for about 3 hours.
We'll be on or near 14.235 or 7.235. I promised the wife and younger son this wouldn't dominate the family's weekend on the island, but we might get back on the air late in the evening and/or early Sunday a.m. No internet, otherwise I would spot us here on NES. Look for AB1LT or KB1TRB calling "CQ Island Lighthouse".
