AK Help

Help! I am in over my head reassembling my bulgarian ak74.

Is the spring on the hammer correctly? If so, how do I put the trigger in?

I have a suspicion that the spring is upside down, but then how is the hammer right side up?

Its an AK, just jam all the parts in there and pound them in with a rock, it will still work.

tapco usa used to have assembly videos on there website.reassembly is much easier if you replace the sheperd spring with a retaining plate.

You're correct, the spring is also incorrectly positioned and the hammer is backwards. The hammer needs to turned around front to back and the spring needs to be turned over top to bottom so the leg ends face into the trigger hole.
