Is there any alternative to IDPA in Massachusetts. Im looking for some sort of competition where me and my glock 19 can competitive? Also are there any games in which there are prizes?
Most local matches don't usually feature prizes.
Major matches sometimes will have a prize table.
Per the IDPA rulebook, prizes must not be based on competitive standings. They must be done random-draw style.
In USPSA, I have seen both types of prize tables: Based on order of finish and based on random draw.
You definitely can be plenty competitive in IDPA with a G19. What do you feel is holding you back?

You can shoot it in USPSA production and you could shoot steel with it. In IDPA you could probably run it in SSP?
Some shooting games have prizes but it's best not to care much about that stuff, since on some of the games winning the prizes is a combination of luck and skill.
It's better to just go and have fun and not worry about that stuff.
