Amateur Radio exams

You're in Lexington? If you can find somebody from the MITRE club, they've got a decent setup and would probably be thrilled to do this sort of thing.

Mitre would've been a good idea. That's where I took my tech and general tests.

We built a 20m dipole yesterday and strung it up between light posts in the school parking lot. We worked portable today and 20 meters was full of action. The students were happy and we had a QSO with Germany on their antenna.
Off to Ham Radio Outlet tomorrow for a little tour and some more hands on radio work. Of the 10 kids I have I think about 5 are really into it and we may be able to convince a couple more.
On Friday I may try to have them make a satellite contact. It looks like there are a couple of decent passes during the class hours. I'll probably pickup an arrow antenna while I'm at HRO.
