...and the award for the biggest piece of crap firearm goes to...

After following your story closely I will never buy a Para Ord gun. I was looking at them for a possible 1911. I guess now its SW or custom build. Leaning towards the custom build.

I'm sorry you have had to deal with all their crap but thanks for posting it for the rest of us.

Para and Kimber are two brands i would never purchase due to too many experiences/stories like yours.

Kimber has turned out a few turds in the past but IMHO a lot of their
newer guns have turned out pretty decent.

And I know if I bring one to a gunsmith he's only going to curse half as loudly
as he would if I brought him a Para. [laugh]

and in the catagory of worst gun under 100 dollars.... may I have the envelope please... RAVEN .25

Ya know, I always thought that too. However, I do happen to own one that always works, is fairly accurate, and has never broken on me. Sometimes ya just get lucky I guess.

I have a Para P-16/.40 that is absolutely 100% reliable and a joy to shoot. Just like Mr. Javery I replaced verything but the frame and slide. I can for give some shoddy work, but Para's horrible customer service is what really puts me off. The only reason they are still in business is that most gun buyers don't shoot much.
